USPA Legion Sports Fest Open

September 29 & 30, 2018

The United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) is a leading powerlifting organization in the United States presents the LEGION SPORTS FEST OPEN. It is the mission of the USPA to provide education, gym affiliation, and powerlifting competition of uniform high quality which is available to all athletes who meet the criteria for membership throughout the United States.

The USPA is a premier powerlifting federation created by lifters, with the goal of ensuring lifters are provided an opportunity and location of showcasing the result of their efforts in a safe and competitive environment. The USPA provides opportunities for a range of lifters from the beginner, to the elite level. Participate in a USPA event. “Experience the Difference!”

Location

The event will take place at the LEGION SPORTS FEST, located in Long Beach, California at Long Beach Convention Center, Hall C, 300 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802. For detailed directions to the venue visit our contact page.

Eligibility Requirements

Anyone 13 and over with a USPA membership

Men’s Classification chart:  Link

DETAILS

Limited to 45 lifters on Saturday and 45 lifters on Sunday

Events: Full Power, Bench only, Deadlift only
Gear Category: Raw, Classic Raw, Single Ply

Age group Divisions: Open-age 13 and up, Junior 13-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-23, Submaster 35-39, and Master 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, etc

State and American records can be set.

Please keep in mind the registration is only for the meet.  You will still need to be a member of the USPA.  Memberships will NOT be sold at the meet.  Purchase your annual membership at http://uspa.net/membership.html

Qualifier for 2018 Drug Tested IPL World Powerlifting, Benchpress, Deadlift Championship with a Class 1 total, Nov 8-11, 2018. Las Vegas, Nevada

Qualifier for 2018 IPL World Powerlifting, Benchpress, Deadlift Championship with a Master total. Dec 6-9, 2018 in Moscow, Russia

Refunds are only provided if the meet fills up and there is a waiting list and we can replace your slot. You would then be refunded the entry fee minus a $10 admin cancellation fee.

Entry fees are not transferable to another meet or person

Weigh-in SCHEDULE for Saturday – All women plus men up to 75kg/165

Awards

Awards will be presented to:

• 1st – 3rd place in each weight class and age group.
• Best Lifter will be by Wilks formula for men and women in any division with 5 or more lifters.
